Analytical Platforms vs. Reporting Tools: Why Birst is the Go-To Choice for CloudSuite Distribution...
Scholl’s Wellness/Agile Dragon Group CSDe/M3 Success
Scholl’s Wellness, the current maker of Dr. Scholl's® products, began moving to CloudSuiteDistribution Enterprise to manage its global business in 2022 with the assistance of a strong CSDe/M3 channel partner. After a successful move to CSDe, Scholl’s Wellness was faced with the need to track sales and performance to budget across their business which would require not only CSDe data but also required the integration of data from a number of strategic partners in Europe and Asia as well as global historic sales and budget. When a custom Birst solution was required, Scholl’s turned to Agile Dragon Group and its Birst Enterprise licensing.
Due to the uniqueness of the sales analytics requirements a purpose model approach leveraging Birst Enterprise was designed. The solution leverages standard Birst connectivity with the Infor Data Lake and loads external data through a simple SFTP folder. In less than 6 weeks of effort, ADG created a solution that provides a global view of Scholl’s sales activity as well as performance against budget in Scholl’s required format. Though still closing out and finalizing a few data entry anomalies external to CSDe, Scholl’s has achieved:
- A single view of sales including historical performance
- A single view of open order information
- Sales budget to actual performance tracking globally
- On demand/hourly updates without usage interruption
- The ability to send reports to external partners
- Easily report sales in both local and global currency.
Scholl’s success with this project as well as the general uniqueness of their business requirements has established the combination of the Birst Enterprise Licensing and ADG solution as the base on top of which Scholl’s Wellness is looking to grow analytics in other areas of their business such as financials and inventory. ADG looks forward to updating this team with future Scholl’s successes and sees this success as a base model for CSDe customers who may not fit neatly into the standard M3A offering.
